NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A 29-year-old New Haven man was hospitalized after he was shot several times in the face and torso.
Police say Darrell Moye, 29, was shot several times on the front porch of 27 Lilac Street in New Haven around 10 p.m. Friday night.
Moye was conscious when help arrived. He was rushed to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he is currently in critical, but stable condition.
Witnesses told police Moye was approached by a group of four or five men as he sat on the front porch. A confrontation arose and one of the men pulled out a gun and shot him. The group fled the scene after the shooting.
One witness said the shooter was a black man wearing a red t-shirt and white sneakers.
