HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Hartford man stabbed three people this morning and all of the victims have been hospitalized, police say.
Police said that the stabbing incident happened at an apartment complex at 106 Sherbrooke Avenue shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday.
Fred Colby, 26, was charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, three counts of first-degree assault, violation of a protective order, and disorderly conduct.
This was after Colby pulled out a curved knife and stabbed his ex-girlfriend in the chest, as well as two other bystanders who tried to come to the woman's aid.
When officers arrived on scene, they found Colby's ex-girlfriend suffering from several stab wounds to her chest and one of the other victims with stab wounds in their thigh.
The third victim was later located with stab wounds.
All three victims were transported by ambulance to area hospitals. There is no word on their conditions.
Colby fled on foot, and police found him covered in blood at his home at 90 Webster Street, where he was arrested.
He is currently being held at the Hartford Police Department on $1 million bond.
