WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are searching for a man who bought a pricey puppy from a Norwalk pet store with a stolen credit card Monday.

Police said around 11 a.m., a man entered Puppies of Westport, and purchased a $4,000 English bull dog.

When the man first attempted to use the stolen credit card it would not swipe through the electronic card system.

However, the name on the card matched the name on the man's driver license so they manually put the card through.

A short time later the owner's realized the card had been stolen. The person who actually owned the credit card came into the store Monday afternoon.

The transaction was caught on video surveillance.

The incident is under investigation.
