Masked men rob TD Bank in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are investigating a bank robbery that happened in Bridgeport Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred just after 8:30 a.m., at the TD Bank located at 1640 Barnum Rd.

Police said two masked men went into the bank displaying weapons.

The men fled the scene in a blue vehicle, possibly a Mazda, with an undetermined amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.

One of the suspects is described as a heavy set Hispanic male or light-skinned black male, approximately 275 lbs. He was wearing a gray-colored winter cap with a snowflake-type design bordering around the cap, blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and brown-colored sneakers or boots. He had a silver handgun, which was most likely a semi-automatic pistol.

The second suspect is described as a very thin black male, close to 6' tall, and weighing approximately 150 lbs. He was wearing a black knit cap, dark gray or faded black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers. He did not display a gun, was wearing gloves, and used his own white bag to put the money in.

Police said both suspects covered their nose and mouth with some type of mask or cloth.
