Meriden, Conn (WTNH) - Meriden police are investigating a bank robbery on East Main Street Monday afternoon.
Around 4:15pm, police responded to the TD Bank on East Main Street. The male thief fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was hurt in the robbery.
The Meriden Patch reports that the robber was a white male wearing a black bandana and gloves. The man reportedly exited through the bank's back door, and through the back parking lot to Swain Ave. Police believe there he may have gotten into an older, red boxy car parked nearby. They do not know whether or not the suspect or another person was driving the vehicle.
If you witnessed the robbery, or have any information that could assist in the investigation you're asked to call Meriden police at 203-630-6201.
