Message to serve 10 years for arsons

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A former volunteer firefighter is headed to prison for 10 years for setting fires.

Christopher Message is a former volunteer firefighter and EMT from Fairfield.
   
He set fire to several vacant homes over a one week period last year.
   
One firefighter was burned fighting a fire.
    
Police say Message set the fires because he was bitter about being fired from his job as an EMT.
