MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH)-- Middletown police arrested three people on Tuesday, for selling marijuana while children were present.
Police say Christian McClain, 40, and his girlfriend, Jimail Taylor, 34, both of 20 1/2 Silver Street, were selling marijuana from their residence, where their three children ages 10, 14 and 17 lived.
When detectives arrived, McClain attempted to exit through a basement door but was taken into custody.
While searching the home, police arrested Darick White, 30, from Middletown, who was hiding in a downstairs closet. He was also charged with possession of marijuana and intent to sell.
Police found 5 pounds of marijuana in the home, as well as packaging material, grinders, scales, several cell phones and a large sum of cash.
Police also found a camouflage body armor vest, narcotic morphine tablets and a black Suzuki motorcycle, with the identification number etched off, that is suspected of being stolen.
McClain is being held on $200,000 bond. Taylor and White are being held on $25,000 bond.
The Department of Children and Families has been contacted and doing their own investigation.
