Middletown woman charged in Hartford homicide

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Middletown woman has been charged with a fatal shooting that took place in Hartford earlier this month.

Tyisha McFadden, 29, of 50 Ferry St., Middletown, has been charged with the shooting death of 46-year-old Errol Campbell, of East Hartford. The shooting occurred on August 14th, at 82 Sterling St., Hartford.

"A warrant for McFadden's arrest was obtained by Hartford police on August 21, 2012, charging her with murder, unlawful discharge of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, reckless endangerment and risk of injury to a minor, following an investigation led by Major Crimes Division Detectives Joseph Fargnoli and Dennis DeMatteo," said Chief Rovella.

McFadden remains in custody on a $1 million bond pending arraignment in Hartford Superior Court.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
