Milford, Conn. (WTNH) - Following a year long investigation, four men have been charged in the facade collapse in the Westfield Connecticut Post Mall in Milford.

The state Department of Consumer Protection's occupational enforcement unit headed up the investigation following the incident in July of 2009.

The DCP says the four men, employed by Sign Lite of North Haven, installed a sign at the mall. A week after it was installed, the sign fell, taking with it 200 feet of the facade. One person was injured by the falling debris.

Kenneth Detulio, Richard Heller, Paul Snedeker and Shaun McCormick have been charged with performing or directing unlicensed occupational trade work.

The accused are set to appear in Milford Superior Court on August 3.
