Danbury, Conn. (WTNH) - A Danbury minister has been sentenced to 40 years behind bars for multiple counts of sexual assault.
Troy Grant, 42, was the former executive director at Pathways Danbury, an assistant youth minister at New Hope Baptist Church and a volunteer with several other programs for at-risk teens.
Grant was accused of multiple counts of sexual assault and risk of injury.
According to a prosecutor, Grant targeted vulnerable teenage boys that he counseled.
On Wednesday, in Danbury Superior Court, he was sentenced to 40 years in prison, suspended after 20 years. He also received 35 years of probation.
