BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police arrested a 31-year-old naked man after they had to tase and pepper spray him.
Police responded to the report of a naked man jumping on the hood of a car in the area of Washington and Park avenues. Upon arrival, an officer saw Shon Mckenzie naked and standing outside of his Buick.
According to police, the officer tried to speak to him but Mckenzie looked at him with a blank stare, got in the car and drove off.
Police followed him for several blocks at 5 mph until an officer was able to pull in front of the car and force him to stop. The man had glazed eyes, a blank stare and refused to exit the car, police said.
When officers unsuccessfully tried to get him out of the car, Mckenzie was shocked by a Taser. That had no effect so he was sprayed with pepper spray, which also had no effect. Ultimately, police were able to get him out of the car.
He was taken to Saint Vincent's Medical Center to be checked out, police said.
Mckenzie was charged with breach of peace, interfering with police and motor vehicle charges.
