New Haven man dies after shot to head

    New Haven (WTNH) - A man found shot in the head behind a home in New Haven died Tuesday, New Haven police said.

    The victim was identified as Barry Wooten, 49 of New Haven.

    Wooten was found shot on Shelton Avenue Monday. Wooten died at the hospital Tuesday.

    Police say Wooten is the 10th shooting victim in the city this year.

    Police did not reveal any motive for the shooting, or if they are close to an arrest in the case.
