STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A New York man was arrested Monday for stabbing a teen in Stratford.
On Monday, Stratford police were dispatched to 145 Holmes St., to investigate a reported stabbing.
Prior to arrival, officers were told that the suspect had fled on foot. A man matching the suspect's description was then found walking on Sherwood Place, near Stratford Avenue.
The man, 21-year-old Abraham Machuca, of New York, was taken into custody.
At the scene, 19-year-old William Font, also of New York, was found suffering from several stab wounds. Font was conscious and walking around.
A female resident, 18-year-old Ganimete Kameraj, was also on the scene, but was unharmed.
Font was taken to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment and has since been released.
Machuca was also taken to Bridgeport Hospital and treated for minor injuries to his hand.
Machuca was charged with criminal attempt at murder, home invasion, first-degree burglary, third-degree assault and second-degree threatening.
Bond was set at $500,000. Machuca is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on June 5th.
