NEWINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man wanted for stealing an elderly woman's purse from a shopping cart in Newington Wednesday.
The incident happened shortly after 2 p.m., at a Price Chopper, located at 2985 Berlin Turnpike.
The suspect is described as a white or possibly Hispanic man, 5'8" tall, wearing a loose fitting jacket, possibly green in color.
The man left in a dark-colored four door sedan.
