Bridgeport (AP) - More than six months after Bridgeport's first homicide of the year, a city man has been charged with murder.
Dexter Murray, 24, of Bridgeport, was charged Tuesday and is being held in lieu of $750,000 bond.
Murray is accused of fatally shooting 25-year-old Keishon Johnson on New Year's Day after the two had argued at a party.
Johnson was found lying in the street at the intersection of Wood and Hughes avenues. He died from gunshots to the chest, abdomen and shoulder.
Police say the victim and Murray had gotten into a fight New Year's Eve at the Gotham Club in New Haven. Both men returned to Bridgeport after being thrown out of the club.
