Farmington (AP) - Police have filed new charges against one of two Massachusetts men charged in a Bristol bank robbery earlier this month.
Richard Gordon, 34, of Winthrop, Mass. has been charged with tampering with evidence for allegedly burying nearly $11,000 stolen from the bank.
Farmington police said Tuesday Gordon hid the cash in a wooded area after jumping from the van driven by the other suspect, 44-year-old Brendan McGarrett of Springfield, Mass.
Police say McGarrett had stopped the van on Reservoir Road near Route 6 to shoot at a police. He was captured a short time later in Farmington.
Gordon was caught that evening while jogging along Route 6 in Farmington.
Police say they have now recovered all the money taken from the Webster bank holdup.
