New Fairfield (AP) - Connecticut state police have arrested a teen, accusing him of e-mailing a bomb threat that shut down two New Fairfield schools last month.
More than 1,600 middle and high school students spent about 90 minutes standing outside after state police and an explosives-sniffing dog searched the complex on May 27.
Investigators say they were ale to trace the threat to the boy's laptop computer. They say he also confessed after being questioned.
The boy has been charged with falsely reporting an incident in the first degree and has been referred to juvenile authorities.
School officials say the student could be suspended for up to 10 days or the Board of Education could hold a hearing to expel him.
