Trumbull (WTNH) - Five people were arrested after gunfire was shot outside of a Trumbull theater early Saturday morning.
Police received a call just after midnight by a Bow-Tie Cinema employee that a large crowd was exiting the building as the movies ended. While officers were responding, employees reported that several shots were fired in the parking lot.
Officers spotted a vehicle speeding away from the scene and pursued it a short distance into Bridgeport. The vehicle ran off the road near Seltsam Road and the three in the car then fled by foot. The two 15-year-olds and 17-year-old were arrested and charged with interfering and resisting an officer. They were later released.
Two others were arrested in the theater's parking lot at 100 Quarry Rd.
Abraham Davidson, 18, of Bridgeport was charged with attempted assault in the first degree, criminal use of a fire arm and other related charges. He is being held on $100,000 bond.
Eddie Vega, 19, of Bridgeport, was charged with resisting an officer. He is being held on $2,500 bond.
Although several shell casings were found in the theater parking lot, no weapons were found.
Police are still investigating the incident. If anyone has any information, they are asked to contact Trumbull police at (203) 261-3665.
