Hartford (WTNH) - Another arrest has been made in the case of UConn's slain football player.
De'Quan Muhammad, 18, of Hartford, twice denied any knowledge in the Jasper Howard case, and provided this denial to police investigators in two separate written statements. Information was later received that showed Muhammad did have knowledge of the events that occurred outside the school-sponsored dance on campus. He had told more than one person that he had witnessed the fight and stabbing of Jasper Howard.
Muhammad has been charged with hindering prosecution, interfering with an officer and other related charges.
He is being held on a $200,000 bond.
