Guilford (WTNH) - The owner of a Guilford martial arts school is under arrest, suspected of taping an employee and a student undressing.

It allegedly happened at the United Studios of Self Defense on the Boston Post Road.

Joseph Moscatelli, 43, is charged with voyeurism and risk of injury to a minor.

Kathy Ploski of Guilford was supposed to meet with Moscatelli Friday and talk about signing up her children for karate.

“He seemed nice enough. I would have never have thought that," she said.

On Thursday night, police say a female employee found the video while looking through a tape of a karate competition. At the end of the video she saw a fellow female employee and a teenage girl undressing in a room on separate occasions.

"Basically he had a camera set up in a room in the rear of the bulding and right now there is only two proven instances. Obviously the assumption is there is more, but that is unknown at this point," said Sgt. Robert Norman, Guilford Police Department.

Moscatelli operates a second martial arts school on Main Street in Branford so police are checking to see if there are other victims. They also seized a camera and a computer.

As for Kathy, she's just glad that her kids weren't enrolled at the studio.

“I feel very relieved. I'm just so glad that they didn't go," she said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Guilford police at 203-453-8245 or the anonymous tip line at 203-453-8240.

Moscatelli is set to appear in court June 9.
