Ledyard (WTNH) - Police have arrested a woman from Georgia who they say barged into Ledyard High School and tried to snatch a 13-year old student.
It happened just before 8am on Thursday.
Geraldine Sebastian, 51, of Atlanta, Georgia, has been charged with risk of injury to a child, criminal trespass and breach of peace. She is a relative of the student, police say.
Sebastian allegedly walked into the school without checking in at the front office and found the student in the hallway. She tried to convince the girl to come with her and tried to grab her when the student refused.
Staff members and one student intervened and called 9-1-1.
No one was injured.
