Morris (AP) - Police say a Connecticut man told his girlfriend to "eat dirt"
after shoving some into her mouth.
Alan Gamache, 43, of Morris was arraigned Wednesday in Bantam
Superior Court on several charges including assault and violating a
protective order. It was the second time he was charged with
assaulting the woman.
The woman told police that she and Gamache got into an
argument Tuesday night outside their home, and she alleges he
pushed her to the ground, grabbed a handful of dirt and told her to
eat it. She also claims Gamache kicked her in the stomach inside
the house.
Gamache's lawyer says Gamache denies the allegations, and
claims the woman has lied to authorities in the past.
