Orange (WTNH) - A man and his son are among nine people arrested in a drug bust. Inside several homes in Orange and Woodbridge police found cash, drugs and guns.

It is a story that reminds us criminal suspects are found in the suburbs as well as the inner-city.

"The investigation was initiated into narcotics trafficking within the Amity region," said Lt. J. Paul Vance, Connecticut State Police.

Undercover narcotics officers made contact with the suspected drug dealers months ago and began buying illegal drugs, including marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy.

"Narcotics detectives were able to infiltrate these individuals, and make over 25 purchases of narcotics and controlled substance from these suspects," Vance said.

Police say the impact of these arrests will have a broad-reaching affect in the surrounding communities.

"But this is a positive impact on the communities of Orange and Woodbridge and the Greater Amity area. Hopefully, this will reduce the flow of illegal narcotics into this area and region," Vance said.

Arrested on various drug charges were:
- Richard and Nicole Spear of Rimmon Road, Woodbridge
- David Baviello of Wilson Road, Orange
- Jeremy Proto of Pleasant Hill Road, Orange
- Vincent Cerillo of Chippendale Lane, Orange
- Anthony Mantiglia of High Meadow Lane, Orange
- Joseph Laluna Sr. and Joseph Laluna Jr. of Glenwood Road, Orange
- Vito Sabato of Oakwood Road, Orange
