Police seek kidnapping, robbery suspect

Tolland (WTNH) - Connecticut state police are asking for help in finding a man wanted for kidnapping and robbery at the Ellington Gold and Diamond Exchange back in December.

Police put out an alert for Scott Miller, 44, of Hartford.

"Miller is believed to be in the Hartford area and should be considered armed and dangerous," police said in a news release. "He has a long history of violent crime."

Miller is wanted for the December 18th, 2008 robbery at the Gold and Diamond Exchange on 8 West Rd. Three people were robbed as they came out of the store, then bound with duct tape and and put into a pick-up truck.

None of the people were hurt, state police said.

Miller faces a court set bond of $2 million.

Anyone with information on where Miller might be is asked to call state police Troop C in Tolland at 860-896-3200, or 9-1-1. Text messages can also be sento to state police. Text "TIP711" and a message to CRIMES (274637).
