A man that led police on a tri-town pursuit chase in a stolen vehicle was finally arrested in New Haven.

Brett A. Williams, 31, of New Haven, led police on a three town chase with an accomplice and abandoned the vehicle near the I-91 exit ramp in New Haven.

Williams, along with a second man, were seen on West Main Street in Branford driving a truck from the rear of a closed business around 2 a.m. When officers attempted to stop the truck, Williams fled into the town of East Haven over the Q-Bridge and onto I-91 Northbound.

Officers later located the vehicle on an off-ramp and Williams was found and taken into custody.

Police determined that the vehicle that Williams was driving had been stolen from a business in North Haven, however, it has not yet been reported.

Police say they have also determined Williams was responsible for an attempted theft of a snow plow in Branford as well as the theft of a battery charger.

Williams was charged with criminal mischief, interfering with an officer and other related charges.

He is being held on $25,000 bond.
