NEWTOWN, Conn. (WTNH) -- State police, aided by Newtown police, have arrested a Newtown man on charges related to child pornography.
Edward Wilson, 28, was arrested after police searched a home on Hillcrest Drive Friday. Police said they found more than 300 images of suspected child porn.
The State Police Computer Crimes Unit was tipped off about the images back in February by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which reported to police that someone appeared to be emailing child pornography. Troopers traced the activity back to the home on Hillcrest Drive.
Police got a warrant, entered the home, seized some evidence and arrested Wilson.
He was charged with:
