NORTH BRANFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- North Branford police have arrested a suspect in connection to numerous car burglaries in town.

The burglaries were first reported in early May along Foxon Road and Totoket Road.

Police say 36-year-old Aaron Ainslie entered the unlocked cars and took anything of value, including electronics, tools, gift cards, loose change, wallets and credit cards.

Several of the stolen credit cards were used at the Wal-Mart and Lowes branches in New Haven. Store surveillance was used to help identify Ainslie as the suspect.

Ainslie was arrested and charged with seven counts of burglary and one count of larceny.

He was held on a $25,000 bond.
