Police seize 17 lbs of pot in Norwich

Norwich, Conn. (WTNH) - Police in Norwich have arrested a city man after they seized 17 pounds of marijuana from his home.

Hipolito Rivera, 36, has been charged with possession,  sale of a controlled substance near a school and operating a drug factory.

Police say they obtained a warrant after receiving tips from the public.

Rivera is being held on a $250,000 bond and is due in court June 10.
