Shelton, Conn. (WTNH) - A man was injured in a violent home invasion in Shelton.
The victims told police that around 12:15 p.m. on Monday, a Hispanic male broke into their Howe Avenue apartment.
The armed suspect demanded valuables from the residents.
At one point, the suspect pistol-whipped one of the victims, leading to a struggle. That's when the suspect took off, leaving his gun behind.
The victim was transported to Griffin Hospital where he was treated and released. No other injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as an Hispanic male, approximately 6 foot tall with a medium build. The victims said he had a tattoo on his neck, as well as a mustache and beard.
