Milford, Conn. (WTNH) - One person was killed in a stabbing at a party in Milford early Sunday. A 17-year-old girl was arrested, and police expect to arrest a second person who was hospitalized after a chase onto I-95 that ended in New Haven, Milford police said.

Police identified the victim as Ryan Simpson, 19.

Officers were called to a house on Woodland Drive just after 4:00 a.m. and found two people who had been injured in an altercation. Simpson, who lived in the home, was stabbed with a knife and later died from the injuries, police said.

A 15-year-old sibling of Simpson suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the hospital.

Police got a description of a car the suspects were in and spotted it a short time later. But the driver refused to stop, police said, and took off onto I-95 North. Police from other agencies joined in and used stop-sticks to stop the getaway car.

The driver took off running, but was caught by a police K9 unit. The driver was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries. Police said they expect to arrest that person.

The other person in the car, who police described as a "youthful offender, age 17 of Waterbury, is accused of brandishing a long screwdriver and attempting to harm other people who were involved in the dispute." She was held on $100,000 bond on charges including conspiracy to commit assault and reckless endangerment. Her name was not released.
