New Haven, Conn. (WTNH) - New Haven police are investigating the early morning shooting of a Hamden man at a New Haven housing complex.

The shooting happened just before two o'clock this morning in the rear of the Farnum Court complex at Hamilton and Grand Streets.

The victim was found by police on the street next to a grey Nissan suffering from a gunshot wound. He had been shot at least once in the leg and had lost a lot of blood. Police said he was nearly pronounced dead on the scene, but was revived and rushed to the hospital.

Police did not release his name. Investigators have not said if they know of a motive for the shooting.
