Speeding ticket turns into drug bust

Stratford, Conn. (WTNH) - A Hamden man was arrested after police found over 2 kilos of cocaine in his car.

32-year-old Daniel Mills was pulled over by police for reckless driving on I-95 North in Stratford, near exit 33.

After he was pulled over, Mills got out of the car and attempted to run away.

The officer was able to catch up and arrest Mills.

Police found about 2.5 kilos of cocaine in Mills' possession along with an unknown amount of cash.

Mills faces charges related to the drug possession, as well as driving infractions.

He was held on a $250,000 bond.
