OXFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police have arrested a 20-year-old man for the March 2012 crash that killed an Oxford teenager.
After months of investigating, police arrested Eric Ramirez for the fatal crash that occurred on March 9.
Ramirez was driving the Ford Mustang when it struck a building, killing 15-year-old Brandon Giordano and injuring 16-year-old Dion Major.
Police say Ramirez accelerated after a Seymour police officer tried to pull him over for a traffic stop. It is alleged that he illegally passed other cars on the road and turned off his operating lights.
The crash occurred when Ramirez failed to make the turn onto Old State Road 67.
Ramirez faces charges that include reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, and misconduct with a motor vehicle.
He was released on a on $10,000 court set bond and scheduled to appear in court on September 24.
