NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Four New Haven men were arrested Saturday for operating a drug factory out of their home, police said.
The arrests came following the execution of a search and seizure warrant at 86 Sherland Avenue., around 8 a.m. Saturday.
Police said the home is a partial rooming house, and that the owner said she rented rooms to two of the four who were arrested. The other two men lived with them.
Additionally, police said the owner said she found it unusual that even though none of the men worked, they always paid their rent on time.
During Saturday's search of the home, police seized 380 bags of heroin, 56 bags of crack cocaine, packaging materials, two digital scales, eight cell phones, a leather gun holster, and over $12,000 in cash.
Twenty-year-old Bryan Vazquez and 18-year-old Heriberto Hernandez, each of 86 Sherland Ave., were charged with possession of narcotics and five-related drug crimes.
Dennis Rivera, 24, of 86 Sherland Ave., was charged with possession of narcotics, six-related drug crimes and operating a drug factory.
