NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are investigating an armed robbery that was reported near the Southern Connecticut State University campus in New Haven.
Around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday an officer responded to the SCSU Police Department and met with three men reporting an armed robbery.
The three men described walking together on Farnham Ave. near Blake St., when they were confronted by a masked gunman. Police said the suspect took the mens' iPhones and wallets.
Police were able to track the phones to the Fair Haven section of New Haven, but then the signal was lost.
None of the victims were injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as a skinny black man, just under 6' tall. The man was described as wearing a black face mask, dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and grey sweatpants at the time of the incident.
Police said the handgun displayed was a silver-colored revolver.
