OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. (WTNH) -- State Police bomb technicians and Old Saybrook Police have deemed an Old Saybrook school safe following a bomb threat that was made earlier in the day.
The bomb threat was reported at Old Saybrook Middle School Wednesday morning.
Police said students were evacuated from the middle school as a result of the threat, and will be continuing their school day at Old Saybrook High School, located at 1111 Boston Post Rd.
Students will have lunch at the high school and be picked up by bus at the end of the day.
Though the middle school has been deemed safe, it will remain closed while police investigate.
The school will open after hours so that students may pick up personal belongings.
