MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two Andover men were arrested Thursday after an attempted burglary at a jewelry store in Manchester, police said.
The incident occurred at Gooddale Jewelers, located at 844 Main St.
Police said 20-year-old Ryan Clark and 19-year-old Michael Fortin were spotted attempting to smash through the front door of the jewelry store shortly after midnight.
Police saw the suspects running in the area of Otis Street and engaged in a foot pursuit with them through several backyards, police said.
Clark, of 311 Route 6, Andover, was charged with third-degree criminal attempt to commit burglary, interfering with an officer, and sixth-degree criminal attempt to commit larceny.
Clark was held on a $25,000 bond.
Fortin, of 850 East St., Andover, was charged with third-degree criminal attempt to commit burglary, interfering with an officer, second-degree breach of peace, first-degree criminal mischief, and sixth-degree criminal attempt to commit larceny.
Fortin was held on $100,000 bond.
