STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Bridgeport man was arrested on weapon and drug charges Friday after being stopped for a traffic light violation.

The incident occurred shortly after 7 p.m.

At that time, police stopped a 2008 Mercedes Benz for a traffic light violation that happened on Honeyspot Rd., near Lordship Boulevard.

During the stop, police said the driver appeared to be very nervous.

While police spoke with the driver, 22-year-old Kimanie Graham, they spotted a handgun wedged between the driver seat and the center console.

Further investigation revealed that Graham was not only in possession of an illegal handgun, but also approximately 115 grams of crack cocaine and $4,400 of suspected drug proceeds, police said.

Graham was charged with failure to obey a traffic light, operating a motor vehicle under suspension, excessive window tint, possession of a handgun without a permit, weapons in a motor vehicle, and possession with intent to sell crack cocaine.

Bond was set at $25,000. He is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Court on February 4th.
