SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) -- A South Windsor man was arrested Saturday for allegedly assaulting two police officers during a December incident.
The incident occurred at the man's Oakland Road home.
According to police, officers responded to a domestic dispute at the home and the man, 27-year-old Michael Dillman, fled into nearby woods.
A K-9 team from Enfield responded to assist. Police were able to locate Dillman in the wooded area and attempted to take him into custody.
Police said a struggle then started and Dillman tackled a female South Windsor officer and began punching her. An Enfield officer then deployed his K-9 and began pulling Dillman off the South Windsor officer.
At that time, Dillman head-butted the Enfield officer giving the officer a bloody nose, police said.
A Taser was then used to subdue Dillman. He was then sent to the hospital for treatment and for a mental health assessment.
Dillman, of 325 Oakland Road, was charged with two counts of assault on a police officer, interfering with an officer, and disorderly conduct.
He was released on a $30,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on January 24th.
