UNCASVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly offered to sell drugs to a woman at a casino, then dragged her to wooded area and attempted to sexually assault her.
The incident happened around 3 a.m., at the Mohegan Sun Casino hotel.
At that time, police said the male suspect approached a female and offered to sell her illegal narcotics.
According to police, the female agreed to take out money from an ATM for the narcotics. She then followed the suspect out to the Winter Garage and to a parking lot.
The female gave the suspect money for the narcotics. The suspect then grabbed her by the arm, dragged her across Cove Road into a wooded area, and attempted to sexually assault her, police said.
According to police, the suspect fled the area on foot. The female then returned to the casino and called State Police.
The female victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at Backus Hospital.
Casino surveillance was able to track the victim and suspect on video.
