NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A New Haven man was arrested on child pornography charges Wednesday.
State Police Computer Crimes Unit began an investigation into the sharing of child porn over the internet in October of 2012. That investigation led police to a home located at 760 Quinnipiac Ave.
On Wednesday, police executed a search and seizure warrant at the New Haven home. During the search, evidence was seized and video files of suspect child porn were located, police said.
As a result of the search, 26-year-old Paul Ciancola was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of child pornography, promoting a minor in an obscene performance, and obscenity.
Ciancola was released on a $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court on February 19th.
