HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are investigating after four tires and rims were stolen off a car in a Hamden car dealership parking lot Friday.
The incident occurred on at Partyka Chevrolet, located at 200 Skiff St.
After investigating, police determined that an individual entered the rear parking lot and placed a jack underneath a 2013 Mazda 3 "Speed" model motor vehicle.
Police said the individual removed all four stock tires and rims from the vehicle.
According to police, the "Speed" model of the Mazda 3 is unique in that there are minimal models in the state. Additionally, police said the Mazda 3 "Speed" wheels will fit on a Mazda 3 base model.
The stolen tires and rims are estimated at $2,500.
