VERNON, Conn. (WTNH) -- A 20-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly robbing a Vernon store at knifepoint Monday night.
The incident happened around 9:45 p.m., at Luv Express, located at 65 Windsor Ave.
According to police, a lone female entered the store wearing a mask, armed with a knife and demanded money from the clerk.
The woman then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
A K9 team was called in to assist.
The East Hartford K9 team and Vernon Police then went to 3 West St., where they were able to locate the suspect.
Twenty-year-old Angela Jordan, of 3 West St., was arrested. She was also found to be in possession of 43 bags of heroin.
Jordan was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree larceny, possession of narcotics, and carrying a dangerous weapon.
She is currently being held on $100,000 bond.
