MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A New Haven man was arrested for allegedly robbing a Milford bank.
Police were called to the Milford TD Bank located at 1361 Boston Post Road around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 21.
Witnesses told officers a man handed the teller a note demanding money. The note also implied he had a weapon.
The teller handed over the money and the man, later identified as 33-year-old Jean LaCourciere, walked out.
Police say they caught up with him just down the street. LaCourciere had a portion of the stolen money with him, as well as a 14-inch knife.
He was charged with first degree robbery, fourth degree larceny, and carrying a dangerous weapon.
LaCourciere is being held on $300,000 bond.
