HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police arrested a man after an incident with shots fired led to a pursuit.
Jose Diaz, 33, of 44 Mohawk Street, New Britain, attempted to flee police after a shot fired incident. The pursuit began at Columbus Boulevard and Sheldon Street and ended at an apartment building at Bond Street and Wethersfield Avenue.
According to a press release, Hartford Police Dept. Major Crimes Division Commander Lieutenant Brian Foley said, "While there were no injuries as a result of the incident, for precautionary measures Bulkeley High School and Burr Elementary School were locked down for a brief period of time. Also, it appears at this time an officer from an outside agency within The Hartford Federal Task Force discharged their firearm during the incident."
