Police ID Simsbury murder-suicide victims

SIMSBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police have identified a young man and woman who were found dead inside a Simsbury home Wednesday.

The deceased were found at a residence located at 51 Hopmeadow Street.

The female victim was identified as 24-year-old Elizabeth Day. Police said she died of multiple gunshot wounds caused by Michael Wawrzyniak.

Wawrzyniak, 25, was the second victim. He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
