DERBY, Conn. (CTPost.com) -- A family dispute led to the shooting death early Saturday of Javon Zimmerman, 22, in the parking lot of R.J.'s Cafe, according to Lt. Justin Stanko, police spokesman.
"We have a strong suspect in the case," he said Monday afternoon. "This was 100 percent not random. It was a targeted act of violence."
He said the suspect went to the Elizabeth Street restaurant looking for Zimmerman.
Zimmerman died at Griffin Hospital of gunshot wounds.
