BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two men were arrested after police interrupted a robbery in progress at a Bristol home Monday night.
Around 8 p.m. police responded to 142 Park St. on a report of a burglary in progress.
Upon arrival, officers encountered two individuals inside the home, 56-year-old McKinnel Morton and 43-year-old Daniel West.
Investigation revealed that Morton and West had illegally entered the home and were attempting to steal copper piping from within the residence.
Both Morton and West were charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal attempt at larceny, possession of burglary tools, first-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree criminal trespass.
Both were held on $25,000 bonds.
