BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are investigating after a Bristol restaurant was robbed Sunday night.
The incident happened shortly after 8 p.m., at the Whole Donut restaurant, located at 2 Burlington Ave.
Police said a lone male walked into the restaurant and said, "I'm going to rob you." The suspect then quickly began to approach the cashier, causing her to run out the back door.
According to police, the suspect then rifled through the cash register taking an undetermined amount of money before leaving.
The suspect was last seen walking North on Burlington Ave.
Police said once the suspect was outside, the cashier yelled for help, drawing the attention of two men that witnessed the suspect leaving.
Police responded with a K-9 unit, but were unable to locate the suspect.
The cashier was not injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as being a white man, in his 40's with white facial hair, approximately 6' tall, and weighing 160-165 lbs. He was wearing a dark jacket or hoodie, blue jeans, a surgical-type mask, and blue surgical-type gloves at the time of the robbery.
