NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened in New Haven Monday.
The shooting occurred at Davenport Avenue and Kossuth Street around 12:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found 20-year-old Michael Henderson suffering a gunshot wound to his right knee.
Henderson told police he was walking with a friend on Davenport Ave., when he saw a gold Acura sedan pass them.
The driver then made a u-turn and drove toward him.
Henderson said a rear seat passenger opened the door and fired several shots at him. The car then took off northbound on to Orchard Street.
Witnesses described the shooter as a black man with his hair styled in dread-locks or braids. He was wearing dark clothing, with the exception of a grey shirt.
Police said there were at least three people in the Acura and at least one wore all black clothing.
